Foresight has a probability problem. Too many companies still treat the future as a numbers game, managed through dashboards, scenario matrices, and market models that present themselves as neutral. They are not. Every forecast already carries a quiet story about who gets protected, who absorbs the risk, what counts as “progress,” and which publics are worth listening to. Ignoring that story does not make it disappear. It means the cultural assumptions beneath your strategic bets stay unexamined and unchallenged at precisely the moment when overlapping crises make those assumptions the most fragile part of the system.
