The Engineered Isolation of Modern Masculinity

In the Netflix series Adolescence, the alienation and social isolation of protagonist Jamie form the core of the narrative, as he gradually retreats into algorithm-driven enclaves that glorify dominance and hyper-individualism. By understanding how masculinity became trapped in this framework, we open up possibilities for designing more sustainable pathways for boys and men. That said, we must be intentional and pragmatic. Good examples already exist.
